What is last.fm?

Well, that was the question that came to my mind while exploring my new music player name amaroK. So I checked it out and was surprised by the great idea behind this project! Why not tell the world what music you’re listening to? Generate statistics which artists seem to fit together? Check it out. My personal account is elmo2k3.
By the way: there are several plugins for many music players available that tell last.fm just what song you’re listening to at the moment. amaroK got this feature by default.

TinyTrak

After several hours (days?) of work I finally got my own TinyTrack running. Currently it is planted in my car and connected to my FT-5200 and an Etrex GPS receiver. When I have some more time, maybe after the A-Level exams, I’ll install a KF-163 or something in my car.

Update 24.Sep. 2006
The TinyTrak does its work very reliable in my car for months now. As you can see in the images it got boxed together with an old handheld transceiver and a thick battery to supply power when using it stand-alone.
